soft hazy awakening
holding dream fragments
slothful arising
I remind myself every morning: Nothing I say this day will teach me anything. So if I'm going to learn, I must do it by listening. -Larry King

Broadening Horizons
pleasing revelations
surprising openings
releasing resistance
“Horizons will not come to you; you must go to the horizons!” - Mehmet Murat ildans
Last sentence in my mind as I awoke from a dream this morning, "I don't rule there anymore."
Turned on the radio, the line was "and that was when I ruled the world." Such an interesting place here on this earth.
I had the pleasure of having dinner with friends at Pike Place Market, Cafe Campagne. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent service. Can't recommend that steak, I found it cooked to order and tough.
Apparently, the duck and the mussels are good.
I was surprised and a little pleased that one young friend was laden down with books. I was fun to peruse someone's book purchases - which were very diverse. The surprising part, this very, very tech savvy young woman had no interest in ever, ever, ever owning a Kindle or any other e-reader. So maybe books in print will stick around for awhile.
It was a very conversationally interestingly evening, including standing on a downtown street corner 11pm calmly, philosophically discussing whether or not evil exists. Very satisfying day.

Shifts
worlds shifting
structures realigning
improbable slides to probable
structures realigning
improbable slides to probable
Nothing settled yet however looking like I will be changing the work shift I have had for over 6 years. Still a few issues to negotiate through. I will be able to say yay or neigh. I have wanted to work a later shift for years, just how much later is in question as well as logistics.
My life is in flux . . . that could be a good thing

Changes
whisperings of change
releasing old forms
shifting into new realities
releasing old forms

“Forget all the reasons it won’t work and believe the one reason that it will.” Unknown
I am feeling like the grinch tonight. As I listen to fireworks, smells of things burning, I can't imagine that the fireworks can be good for the environment. Usually, I am so for celebrations. Just seems like so much money going up in smoke. I suppose fireworks must be good for the soul.
I am hoping no one is injured trees, bushes or people.

Bit Restless
“but there was nothing I could do to dim the supernovae exploding inside my brain, an endless chain of intra cranial firecrackers”-- John Green

Seeking
many winding paths
curiosity a strong pull
a seeker I am
“There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you, and there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.”- Lemony Snicket
I might have used that quote before, still like it.

Wondering
wondering in circles
contemplating deliberating
who needs action
