I very much enjoyed the art, Cloudstones by Stacy Levy
From the artist's site Stacy Levy:
Mineral Springs Park, Seattle WA. 2004 Seattle Arts Council
Carved and polished stone, variable dimensions, $79,000
A series of 13 black and white granite and marble domes are sited along the path in Mineral Springs Park, lead the viewer out into the meadow areas. The domes have various heights: some are low to the ground while others arch up out of the grass with more abrupt curves. They range in diameter from two feet to five feet. The highly polished black stone domes to reflect the sky and the clouds formations. Text sandblasted around the domes tells of the types of weather which the cloud formations bring. The white domes have more of evening presence, and their text tells of the moon and stars, As the light fades at dusk, the white domes remain bright while the dark domes sink into the shadows. All the domes have a highly polished finish except for a band around the bottom which has a rough finish to withstand the marks of lawn and meadow maintenance.
