"If I would... if I only could... I surely would..." Sounds like your Mom had 'dreams' tucked inside this song. She must have been gentle to like this kind of music? Namaste...
and of sudden I remember a time with she got brave enough to share a very, sacred tender thing with her belligerent daughter, something she knew was not believeable. She was very brave to do it. She told me she had been standing there in the dining room one day, and all of sudden she had this overwhelming feeling that she could levitate off the floor, not at normal topic in my household anymore than yours, the feeling wouldn't go away, and she is said ok to it and rose a little off the floor. . . nothing more was ever said about it. .. do I know if it was true. .. all I can think she was not the type to make up fanciful stories. . and now I wonder how much more was never said because I chose a wall to place between us
Lynn, I believe your Mom's 'story.' True, it doesn't sound like anything she would have made up. Too bad about generational gaps. But they do seem to keep happening with every generation, damn it! Namaste...
“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” -- Rainer Maria Rilke
