“Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won't either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. Tell yourself you tasted as many as you could.”

I passed this quote along to my friend... maybe it will help...??? Namaste...
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this quote, so rich
ReplyDeletethere is the ever slight chance she and I are related - She is enrolled member Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians; the censuses I saw for the first time last year put some past relatives with that tribe.
could just let you enjoy the beautiful quote, but what kind of a scholar would I be
Truly, I hope it touches your friends heart in a healing way, down through the history, and into her bones, and she finds at least a small piece of nourishment that weaves its way into her essence
Thank you... my friend is in a most difficult place these days. Namaste...
