early morning journey
kale and carrot soup nourished
smells of shimmering chai

I am remembering visiting the Maple Leaf Community Garden being so pleased I could identify kale. And, surprising myself when I gave a little cry of joy at the sight of the beautiful growing chard.

I am such a city girl.
